Panama City Beach Shopping

Panama City Beach shopping is important especially if you came without beachwear and equipment or for finding good souvenirs for friends and family back at home.

People go to Panama City Beach not only to enjoy the white sandy beaches and emerald green waters, but tourists and locals alike love to shop around in various areas.

Major Shopping Areas...

Although Pier Park serves as one of the major outdoor shopping complexes, there are plenty of other places that satisfy your shopping needs like Alvin’s Island. Alvin’s Island is a popular department store chain that is located in six different areas around Panama City Beach for convenience. This is a great place to head to for finding all the beach items that you need.

Those looking for a strip that has everything will enjoy visiting The Shoppes at Edgewater. There, you can find not only some nice shops, but also several restaurants to eat in along with theatres, spa centers and the famous Rock-It Lanes – an entertainment center with bowling alleys, arcade, and a roller skating ring.

Pier Park isn’t a good shopping option on rainy days. Thankfully, there is Panama City Mall found just over the bridge. There are around 75 stores including department stores like Sears and JC Penney.

It also serves as a great place to eat in its food court and has a cinema for moviegoers as well. You can reach the mall by going through the 23rd street where you can find even more stores including Home Depot and WalMart.

Minor Shopping Areas...

Panama City Beach shopping is all about finding rarities that cannot be found anywhere else. For starters, check out Shell Port to find fabulous seashell souvenirs, hermit crabs, and airbrushed items.

You can’t miss the store with its orange roof and shark sticking out of the top of the roof. Crazy Pete’s is also nice store that will satisfy sunglass fanatics with their fine selection of eyewear.

Flea market fanatics can rejoice at the 15th street where you can plenty of small shops to browse around when the weather is good. Indoor flea markets are also set up in the 4th Floor Marketplace and is fully air-conditioned making it a great place to browse around on a hot day.

Both these places serve as excellent places for finding Panama City Beach gifts.

As long as you are around the Front Beach Road, 23rd Street, 15th street, and some other areas, you will always find a place to shop that is worth the visit.

Panama City Beach is a great place to shop around both indoors and outdoors.
