Panama City Beach Seasonal Info
Panama City Beach is a great vacation spot! It has beautiful beaches and lots to do (on and off the beach) for the whole family. The sparkling beaches and diverse accommodations and activities appeal to everyone who visits, and will make you want to come back time and time again. But once you decide you want to spend your vacation at Panama City Beach, your next step is to decide when. And one of the great things about Panama City Beach is that each season brings a different experience for visitors.

Winter...Winter is a popular season to travel to warm climates and tropical locations. For those who live in places that get cold in the winter, winter vacations are a great break to get away from the snow and ice, warm up a little, and get re-energized! "Snowbirds" (people who live in warmer climates during the winter) are all over during the winter months, so you may just find someone from your neighborhood while you're on the beach! One of the great things about Panama City Beach in the winter is that you can still do all the things you want to do! There's always something exciting going on, even when the rest of the country is scraping ice off their windshields. There's a New Year's beach party every year, a Mardi Gras parade in February, and a Snowbird's Valentine's Dinner and Dance for the romantic in you.

Spring...When spring comes around, weather is starting to warm up, and you might be eager to get out of the house and take a vacation. Panama City Beach offers lots to do for spring visitors! March and April are very busy months because of all the college spring breakers. Panama City Beach is known to be the "Spring Break Capital". This means lots of young adults on the beaches, and a very active nightlife in the city. Panama City Beach will host the Seabreeze Jazz Festival. The nationally prominent Seabreeze Jazz Festival will move from Walton County to the public amphitheater at pier park in April 2009. Late Spring... My favorite season! Far and away the best reason is the near-perfect Spring weather. Daytime highs in April and May average in the high seventies to low eighties. Nights, things pleasantly cool off as temperatures reach an average low of 57 degrees F. This is the kind of weather most folks dream of! The superb weather also means that your favorite beach activities- volleyball, sunbathing, sandcastle building, reading, relaxing- will be that much more pleasant. Boaters, especially those who enjoy sailboats, will discover that Spring is the ideal time to hit St. Andrews Bay or the Gulf of Mexico. There are abundant winds and fewer personal watercraft on the water.

Summer...Summer is often a popular vacation month, especially for families. The kids are out of school and the weather is great. And in Panama City Beach, you won't be bored! Of course summer is a great time for the beaches, and if you like to have lots of people around during vacation, summer is a great season to visit Panama Beach City. Kids will have other kids around to meet and spend time with, and lots of activities will be geared toward families.

In addition to July 4th fireworks, there are concerts in July, as well as the Bay Point Billfish Tournament. And in August, you can go to the Grand Lagoon National Fishing Tournament.Panama City Beach always has a lot going on. Whether you just want to lie on the beach and soak up some sun or take part in the many events that go on all year round, you can choose your season for visiting. Like me, you'll have seasons that you'll prefer, but no matter when you go, you'll have fun at Panama City Beach! Have a blast!
